Simula noon, sandamakmak na pelikula at TV adaptations ng obra maestra ng Mars Ravelo ang naipanganak. Para sa pinakabagong remake nito, nakuha ng aktres na si Liza Soberano ang bahagi noong 2019 ngunit umatras dahil sa injury sa daliri.
Bagama't ipinagpaliban ito dahil sa pand3mya, ibinunyag ng ABS-CBN COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes sa Star Magic contract signing ni Jane De Leon noong Disyembre 4. Naging usap-usapan ang pagwakas ng FPJ's Ang Probinsyano dahil pinalitan na ito ng Darna.
